Purge.

I am going to Las Vegas this weekend for a little R&R, and major Shopping! In preps for this weekend my closet has needed some purge time. I don't know if anyone is like me, but I feel like I don't utilize some of the great items I have. Some of them have so much potential! So I called in some help...my bestie Carla who has great style came over to give me a fresh eye and help put NEW outfits together out of my old ones and purge the unneeded things as well. I hope that this will save me money in the long run so I don't buy the same items again, and purchase only things I don't have and really really want!
To start we had tons on pics from fashion magazines we both loved, and pretty much had my entire closet and wardrobe layed out on every flat surface of my room. Here are a few of the ideas we started with (really just a few).

After purging a few uglies, we started by laying clothes out and putting together fun outfits with all kinds of fabulous assories. I took pictures of every one and than uploaded them to my computer in a design file...so now it's like I have a personal stylist on call everyday! I don't have to stand there looking at my closet with a bad attitude and say I have nothing to wear! And I think I saved "millions" discovering how many of the items I wanted, were already in the drawers. Here are a FEW of the combo's we put together:

So it turns out some of the best purchases I have made in my closet....the ones we used over and over, were a gold glitter belt from target for $10.00 and fur vests and jackets. Some of the items I am on the hunt for in vegas are Sequined pants and lace up slouchy boots.

Maybe now I can afford these because I saved so much money LOVING my closet again!
Cheers,
A.

  1. AMAZING!!! I soooo want to do this- love your inspiration pictures and the outfits you put together! I really want a pair of those pant soo- anything sequined for that matter. I saw a girl at Holt's the other day with a huge sequine hobo and I literally had to pick my jaw up from the ground- gorge!

  2. Such an awesome idea! Only when I'm really patient do I put together cute, never-seen-before outfits, but this will help me do it in a rush!

Isn't putting together a room easier than an outfit?...Says the Interior Designer haha
