A Year of Change // April's Project

Friday, April 4, 2014

This month just keeps getting better and better! Have you guys heard of the Year of Change Project? Well I get to join this amazing group of bloggers I met at Alt this past January in repurposing something old in my house to something new and fresh. They are doing something new every month and little old me gets to join in the fun as a special guest. Who is this amazing group you ask? Suburban BitchesCommona My House, Life on Virginia Street and Rosa Beltran Design. They are the brains behind the whole idea of bringing small projects that can be accomplish in less than a month’s time.  On the first Friday of each month we’ll introduce the latest challenge and on the last Friday we’ll each reveal our projects. Our hope is that with the Year of Change challenge we can help you bring big change to your home. We want to inspire you to create the home you want one manageable step at a time.

If you missed out on our stencil projects reveal last week check out AmyRosa and Sarah’s gorgeous designs. I love the different takes they each took with the project. You can catch how the suburban bitches got handy with their Cutting Edge stencils here.

Are you ready for April’s Year of Change project? This month we challenge you to revamp a piece of furniture. It can be something small, something big, something that you’ve already got, something you find on craigslist or at a garage sale or maybe even something from Ikea that you just want to hack up. Pull out the paint, the gold leaf, the jigsaw or your glue gun and show us what you’ve got! We’ll be back on April 25th to reveal what we’ve done and we’d love to see your creation too!

This is going to be such fun and I can't wait to show you what I have in store. Hint: it's vintage! Let's get this party started…what will you do?
