This touched me....

One of my greatest accomplishments was following my dream of owning my own store.
It's almost been 4 years in business and there is not a day that goes by that I don't stop and think is this really mine?
I count myself blessed everyday to be doing what I adore.
I know its cliché but it really doesn't feel like work when you are doing and being what you love.

When I came across Erika's post last Monday it really was special to me.
{Read the whole thing here.}
I think it has such a strong message I could't help but share it again.

Her image says it all, but she goes even further to highlight some of her favorite small buisnesses everyday for the next month.
I think sometimes we {me included} get wrapped up in huge department stores sales and ads we forget that it's really the local shops that bring charm to our communities.

So with that Erika, I to am joining your pledge and supporting small business for my Holiday shopping and gift giving.
I know there are some other super fly places {other then moi} in my community who I can't wait to visit.

So tomorrow when you are standing in those early morning lines to score the latest iPad or whatever....remember your local shops probably open at normal times and have even more unique gifts to share.

Shop Small.
Shop Local.

  2. Exactly. I definitely believe that those little small shops bring all the charm in the world to our communities...not to mention that they really are the driving force behind the economy...built on the backs of the many! Good reminder and Happy Thanksgiving! xoxo!
